I'm a college student. A college student with 8 am classes. A college student who also likes to stay up until the crack of dawn and then pay for it the next morning upon hearing my alarm go off and dying inside. Basically, I just don't have the time or energy to get up an hour before class and do a full face of hair and makeup (but for those of you who can, all the power to you). Read on for my go-to makeup routine that takes me under 10 minutes...
After washing my face, I like to follow up with Aveeno's Positively Radiant daily moisturizer with SPF 30. It's super lightweight and helps hydrate my face and prep it for any cosmetics that are going to be applied. It also kills two birds with one stone by having sunscreen in it, which will keep my skin protected throughout the day. After a few minutes of letting that sink in, I go in with my ~holy grail~ which will most likely be mentioned on this blog a million times; IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream. Sorry to sound like a broken record but this stuff works wonders, guys. I like to apply it with a damp makeup sponge and apply a light layer all over my face. This application method ensures that my face won't be cakey and that I'll get even coverage. This product has multiple skin benefits so it doesn't feel like I'm wearing a heavy foundation. To bring my eyebrows back to life, I like to swipe a little tinted eyebrow gel through them to give a little more definition and color with the L'Oréal Brow Stylist Plumper. Next, I like applying a little bit of blush to add some color to my face. I love the Dior 'DiorSkin' bronzer and blush duo. Obviously as you can tell by the name, it has both bronzer and blush in one compact, so I like to swirl a makeup brush in it and apply a little bit to my cheeks. For the eyes, I pretty much stick to the basics: mascara. I love a good drugstore mascara... my personal favorite is the Covergirl Lash Exact. I have stick straight eyelashes, so I prefer the waterproof formula, but it also comes in non waterproof. Don't forget to curl those lashes, too! Lastly, I finish the look off with a swipe of lip balm. I would definitely choose chapstick over lipgloss or lipstick any day. I'm obsessed with Smith's Rosebud Salve. It gives my lips a sheen and keeps them hydrated. This 6 step process usually takes me around 10 minutes and gives me the ability to get to class on time AND hit the snooze button once or twice.
